Removing Ghost Fishing Nets From Giant Turtle Videos

What an incredible dive trip we took near Salamina Island, Greece last week! From September 2nd to 3rd, together with the divers of Ghost Fishing and Ghost Fishing Greece, we removed a large number of ghost nets from the wreck "Aghios Markos" and released some tangled marine animals, which made the seas a cleaner and more certain place. Thanks so much to everyone involved! Until the mid-1950s, the Saronic Gulf, where the island of Salamis is located, was one of the most productive fisheries in Greece. It has also been a breeding ground for many species of fish. However, the extension of the built-up area of the Attica basin and the industrialization of the Triad plain pushed the surrounding waters and caused habitat degradation.
