Sometimes we all need a break from the stress of life to sleep well at night. Some of us like to read a book or maybe have a cup of warm milk before bedtime. For an elephant in the Elephant Natural Park in northern Thailand, she wants her caregiver to sing a lullaby for her and her baby before it's time for bed.
The saved elephant, FaaMai, and his guardian, Lek Chailert, have developed a very special bonding ritual over the years. Since the nine-year-old elephant was just a baby, Chailert sang her lullaby to calm FaaMai's nerves and calm her to sleep.
